Is Mutatium safe for crafting?

As a magical weaponsmith, working with experimental materials is one of my greatest joys. That and the hissing when you throw something hot in the quench bucket. Anyway, Gaz sold me this rare Mutatium to play with! Let's see what happens!

UPDATE: I've been working with the Mutatium for about a week, trying to forge it into... something. Anything, really. But the silly chunk of stuff keep changing its own shape. I've been changing my shape every few minutes to make it comfortable but it doesn't seem to care.
